Jeffrey Sim

Head of Corporate Communications,

PSA Singapore

Jeffrey Sim is the Head of Corporate Communications of PSA Corporation Limited since 2015. This regional role covers Singapore, the world’s largest transhipment hub, and Southeast Asia, including PSA’s port projects in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. Jeffrey oversees the overall public image of PSA, covering areas such as strategy, branding, media, digital, events, and corporate social responsibility among others.

Jeffrey is also heavily involved in the overall communications planning for the future Tuas Port, working directly with different departments to oversee the development of the Tuas Port ecosystem. He reports directly to the Regional CEO Southeast Asia of PSA International.

Prior to this and since 2008, Jeffrey was Assistant Vice-President for Group Corporate Affairs of PSA International, with media management as key responsibility. He has worked with PSA’s global network of corporate affairs/communications practitioners within the PSA Group, and supported regional corporate affairs for the Middle East South Asia region.

Jeffrey was previously with the Singapore Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), serving with MINDEF Public Affairs for more than 10 years. His role covered media relations, strategic and operational planning, and communications training for all levels. He participated in several overseas missions, notably with the Singapore Armed Forces’ first contingent to Timor Leste as part of INTERFET (International Force East Timor) in 1999, where he led his Public Affairs team to cover the deployment.

Jeffrey is a graduate of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Journalism. He is married and has two boys.
