Samuel Sinn has more than 27 years of experience in providing cybersecurity, data privacy, IT risk management and IT audit services to state-owned enterprises, listed companies and multinational corporations in China, Hong Kong and the United States. He has extensive experience in advising his clients on technology risk management in financial services, fintech, automotive, eCommerce and manufacturing industries.
Samuel has been working in China for over 17 years. He provided eBanking security assessments; penetration testing; IT security strategy advisory; and IT risk management services to a number of large local banks and has also been providing information systems security management advisory; penetration testing and data privacy services to the eCommerce and automotive companies. Furthermore, he conducted a vast amount of IT auditing work for various large local corporations.
In addition, Samuel has been working on the Software Asset Management (SAM) advisory work with three largest global software companies in China and has been leading many software licensing audits to their customers in China. He had also provided software licensing audit services to a large software company in the United States.
Furthermore, Samuel has been serving a number of iconic automotive companies to provide managed security services; penetration testing and vulnerability assessment; and security management framework advisory etc. This enabled him to develop deep insights in the automotive industry’s cybersecurity posture.
Samuel has also been serving many clients on the cybersecurity and data privacy related laws and regulations advisory, i.e. China Cybersecurity Law (CSL) and EU General Data Privacy Protection (GDPR).
Samuel received a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the San Francisco State University in the United States. He is a China Certified Information Security Professional (CISP); Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA); and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of the Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA) in China.
